  1. You may want to attach scripts to an application by keeping the scripts as resources in the application file. If you use Script Editor to edit the scripts, you have to keep multiple Script Editor compiled script files around and use ResEdit to copy their 'scpt' resources into your application.

  3. The ResEdit scpt template simplifies the process by letting you edit an 'scpt' resource directly in ResEdit.
